Q.Are your products environmentally friendly or made from recycled materials?
A.Most of our albums and guest books have paper covers made from the bark of the Mulberry tree. This fast growing tree is widely found in Asia and the bark which it naturally sheds has been used for centuries to make paper.
Q.Are your products fairly traded?
A.We have been using the same factories for many years and have visited them frequently. They are all small family run businesses that pay a fair wage and provide their staff with good working conditions. They do not employ children.
Q.What are the album covers made from?
A.Mostly from textured handmade Mulberry paper. This is surprisingly hard wearing and the paper is treated to make it water resistant. However we also use silk, cotton and wood for some covers.
Q.What is the difference between Corner and Slip in photo albums?
A.A Corner album has thick blank pages with crisp protective tissue interleaves so you can mount any size photo in the traditional way using photo corners, glue dots or other fixers. A Slip in album has plastic pockets over printed pages so you can easily slip your photos into place. Most Slip in albums hold 4x6” photos but we do offer several that hold 5x7” photos.
Q.What is inside your Guest books?
A.There are plenty of thick plain unlined pages leaving lots of room for your guests to leave their personal messages on your special day. As none of the books actually have the words “Guest book” written on them you can also use these as small traditional photo albums.
Q.How will you dispatch my order?
A.By Royal Mail 2nd class standard service which should take 2-3 days and we will notify you when your item is dispatched. This service is included in our inclusive “Free postage & packing” price.
Q.What if I need it quicker?
A.We can arrange for faster delivery but it will cost a bit more depending on the level of service you need. Please contact us for a quote on sales@lookingeast.co.uk
Q.Do you post overseas?
A.We can ship overseas but there will obviously be a surcharge for the postage. Please contact us for a quote on sales@lookingeast.co.uk
Q.What if I do not receive my order?
A.Believe it or not but most items do arrive safely. If yours has not arrived after 3 days first check you gave us the correct delivery address and postcode. Then contact your local sorting office to see if it is there as postmen do not always leave a note when they have tried to deliver a parcel and nobody is at home. Finally if it has not turned up a week after it was dispatched please contact us either by phone (01395 233330) or email (sales@lookingeast.co.uk)
Q.What do I do if there is something wrong with my order?
A.If your order arrives damaged or is faulty in any way, you need to contact us by phone 01395 233330 or email sales@lookingeast.co.uk within 7 days of receipt of your order. To get a replacement or refund you will need to send the item back to us in its original packaging within 14 days of you receiving it.
Q.What happens if I change my mind and don’t want my order or want to swap it for something else?
A.Simply notify us by phone 01395 233330 or email sales@lookingeast.co.uk within 5 days of receiving your item and then return it within 10 days of receiving it to get a refund or replacement. However the item must be in its original condition and packaging and be fit for resale. We will also charge you £6 to cover our original postage and packaging.
